Genetic Information Storage
When you have obtained a gene testing, the data can help future generations determine if you are related to them either directly or through a branch in the family that occurred before you or afterwards. Calculations can be made to determine if you share a direct common ancestor.
We are affiliated with Genetree.com who can provide the genetic testing on a swab of cells from your cheek. When you get the test results, this information can be stored on your website for comparison by future generations. If you have both your “Y” chromosome DNA and mitochondrial DNA analyzed, both the past and future paternal and maternal lines can be determined. Only males have a “Y” chromosome available for analysis, but both males and females have mitochondrial DNA that can be analyzed.
This information could be stored in your time capsule so that only future generations may observe the results, if you wish.
