Time Capsule

An unique feature of Eternal Star is the ability for each webpage owner the have a time capsule where selected material will be stored, unavailable for viewing, until a designated future time.

The material may consist of autobiographical writings, copies of documents, photographs, letters, genealogy material, personal DNA codes, etc.

It could be a message to the future, a personal letter to a grandchild, or a child yet unborn, a personal wartime memoir, or even an entire book that you have written, that will be preserved and released only on the date and time that the webpage owner (you) request.

If a person’s website has a time capsule with material in it, the date and time of opening will be indicated, but no one will have access to the material before the date indicated. The material will be encrypted with a 128 bit key which will not be available until the time lapse requested has passed.

A double pass word system will allow the site owner to delete or add material to their own time capsule, but the material will not be available to others to see or review until the designated time. In accordance with Eternal Star policy (see Terms), material in a time capsule that is open for release at a future date will be reviewed prior to posting at that time.
